Now that we’re well into Spring, I am starting to put the knitwear away and getting my dresses out of my wardrobe. Especially since I’ve been in Spain for the past 2 weeks! So when the lovely folks over at Boohoo got in contact, asking me to style up a Mini Midi & Maxi dress from their collection, it seemed like perfect timing!
I choose to style up an embroidered shirt dress, black lace midi dress and a classic striped maxi dress. I felt like these 3 pieces were quite versatile – they can cater to casual and more formal situations!
The Mini Dress
First up – the mini dress. I choose this embroidered shirt dress, because I knew I could style it with bare legs and sandals in the summer but could also pair it with some tights and boots in colder weather!
Unfortunately I managed to crease the dress so much before taking these photos – for that I apologise! I’ve paired it with a belt here to accentuate my waist, but I think it’d look great without one too for some more relaxed menswear vibes.
The Midi Dress
I went for this black lace midi dress – which I think looks rather like Self Portrait, only for a fraction of the price! I actually wore this out to dinner the other night (after having a few glasses of rosé!) and absolutely loved it. It’s actually very comfortable for a formal dress and I think I’ll be getting a lot of wear out of it.
The Maxi Dress
For the maxi dress, I went for a simple striped jersey dress. I think everyone should have a maxi dress like this in their wardrobe for summer! You can wear it to the beach, out shopping, out for dinner.. It’s such a versatile piece. Also, stripes are always a good idea in my opinion!
I’m really impressed with the quality of this piece, the material feels very nice and it doesn’t cling in any places you don’t want it to. It’s simple, but classic and I am all about that kind of style.
So that was my take on styling the mini, midi & maxi dress! I am so impressed with each of these dresses – I can tell that I’ll be wearing them a lot this Spring & Summer. Boohoo have so many more lovely dresses in at the moment, which you can have a browse of here. I would love to know what your favourite of the 3 are and also what your favourite length is! Are you a mini, midi or maxi kind of gal?
