I now have just over 2 months until I leave my flat here in Glasgow and move to London! So with me being the interiors addict that I am, I’ve been looking out for some new homeware pieces already. One area I’d like to invest in is our kitchen – I love to cook, so I spend a lot of time in there! Therefore, I thought I’d put together this little kitchen wish list today.
First up – kitchen appliances. We bought some lower-cost appliances for our flat here, but I am thinking about investing in something that is higher quality. I am very tempted to purchase a Panasonic Microwave Oven from their range of combination microwaves. Some of them can steam and grill food as well as microwaving it! We often cook meals where something has to be grilled and baked in the oven at the same time, so I’d find it so useful to have another appliance to cook things in!
Another thing I am lusting over is this Smeg Kettle. I really love the Smeg range of appliances, they look so cute and retro! While I’d love to have the mint green one, I’m not sure Max would agree to it! So the cream one is a good compromise. I’d also like to get a new Cafetière (the one I have at the moment makes like 1 cup!) and this copper one from Bodum is absolutely beautiful!
I am totally obsessed with bar carts and hopefully I will get one in my flat when we move (please, Max!). So I’ve been looking at some beautiful bar wear that we can use, even if we don’t end up getting a cart! I love this cocktail shaker from Marks & Spencer – it looks very art-deco. These champagne saucers are beautiful as well and they fit in with the shaker!
As for more decorative items, I have my eye on this recipe book stand from M&S too. I cook quite a lot and I’m building up my own little library of cookery books, so I think this will come in quite handy (and look really pretty!). I also love these cute little cake forks, which I think will be perfect for putting in recipe blog photos.
Finally, I am lusting after these condiment pots from Oliver Bonas. These are rather pricey, but aren’t they beautiful. I can imagine filling these with guacamole and salsa on a regular basis!
So that was my current kitchen wish list. I am starting to get quite excited about moving now, especially about decorating our new place! I love buying things for the kitchen as I do spend rather a lot of my time in there. I’m hoping that our next flat will have a larger kitchen than we do now (ours is tiny!) but that might be a bit difficult as we are moving to London!
