Interior design is something I’m very passionate about. I like to dedicate a lot of my time (and money, let’s face it!) to making my home look and feel as nice as possible – it’s something that gives me a lot of joy! So now that we are moving into the Autumn/Winter months, I’ve been on the lookout for some cosy homeware to spruce up the place.
Autumn and Winter is the time of year when I’m most likely to buy homeware – I spend a lot more time at home (because it’s so cold!) so I think it makes sense to invest in your environment to make it as cosy as possible. So I’ve collated a list of the nicest pieces I’ve found on the high-street recently – a mix of soft furnishings, decorative pieces and a few larger items.
For the Living Room
Updating our Living Room is a priority for me this season – it’s the place where we spend most of our time! I want to make sure it is cosy, warm and inviting when we come home from work.
The first thing on my list is to invest in a wine rack. In case you didn’t know, I work in the wine trade by day, so I’ve accumulated quite a lot of wine since starting my job. But I’m concerned about storing it correctly, so it’s about time to get a proper wine rack. The one I have in mind is this beautiful offering from Oliver Bonas – marble and gold, what’s not to love!
For the Bedroom
I’d like to make our bedroom a bit cosier for the upcoming colder months – currently it is very white and fresh, which I love, but I think it needs some warmer touches to keep it cosy.
I am so in love with this rug from Next, it looks so fluffy and soft! I’m hoping for a discount day from them soon so that I can possibly treat myself to it… I also have my eye on this duvet cover from Next – it’s brushed cotton, so it’ll be super warm and I love the star print.
Bits & pieces.
Over the next few months I’d like to get a few more decorative bits and pieces for our flat. I feel like we have a few spaces that are looking a bit bare, so I’m on a mission to get everything styled and looking good!
I have an obsession with every agate at the moment – these bookends from Oliver Bonas and these coasters from Anthropologie are so beautiful. I also have my eye on these speakers from Urban Outfitters to go on our shelves. I think the lilac colour is so pretty!
