Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer, NARS Sheer Glow Foundation, CHANEL Le Blanc de Chanel, Make Up Forever HD Foundation
Behold! My (current) holy grail face products. I love primers and foundations, it’s one of my favourite parts of make-up – the fact you can simply erase your imperfections really appeals to me.
So now, the products.
Primer-wise I have recently discovered the best primer in the world. Literally. Hourglass’ Veil Primer is a beautiful product: oil free, waterproof, silky, brightening. It is perfect and I love it! It actually makes my foundation last all day – I mean literally. However the major downside is the price. The large size pictured here, will set you back.. ahem… £52. However, one pump will do your whole face and it will last a long time (can you sense my self-justification here?).
Next up, Chanel’s Le Blanc de Chanel. This is really different from the Hourglass one in terms of consistency and also finish. I usually use this if I want my skin to look extra glowy, or it I need a lot of brightening. It smells incredible – like the Bronze Universal and all their tanning products.
Foundation time! My no.1, most favourite foundation is NARS Sheer Glow. I know it’s a bit of a cliché choice, but it is just amazing. Nothing else evens out my skin and makes it look as good as this stuff does. And the finish isn’t as ‘dewy’ as the name would suggest, but it isn’t matte either, it’s the perfect in-between.
Finally, MUFE HD Foundation. Now thats a lot of initials. I picked this up while I was in Paris a few months ago and have given it a thorough road-testing. And I really like it! It’s a glowy, light to medium coverage foundation. It doesn’t cover as much as the NARS, but I like it for those more ‘natural’ days.
And there you have it! Although I have to say, I am a foundation freak and own around 7. Which is always growing….
