It’s that time of year again – when the sequins, velvet and ALL the glitter comes out. Since shopping for Christmas party wear is one of my favourite things to do I thought I’d put together my own little edit of the best pieces that are out on the high street this year!

Moreover, it’s Black Friday weekend which means that almost everything in this edit has money off it. Also, it is always best to get in there early with party wear shopping because a lot of things do sell out before December. Therefore it is the best possible time to buy your festive outfits, so what are you waiting for?

I absolutely love festive fashion but most of all I am loving velvet, embellishment and star print this year. There are some amazing pieces out there this season which are also priced very reasonably such as this incredible star print dress from Boohoo that I picked up this week.

Above all, I think party wear should be quite fun and a little over the top. I like to go all out at this time of year, especially with colours and textures. However, I have included a few pieces that are more subtle incase glitter and sequins aren’t your thing. Another way that you can add some festive charm to your outfit is with your accessories, for example with some velvet shoes or a sparkly clutch bag.

So there you have it! That is my party wear edit for this year which I hope has proved helpful to some of you. If you do end up buying any of the items I’ve picked definitely let me know because I would love to see what you got. I absolutely love seeing how people style party wear items at this time of year mostly because glitter and sequins just make me happy!

Be sure to follow me on Instagram to keep up to date with all my festive outfits and other lifestyle related stuff – I can’t wait to fill up my feed with ALL the Christmassy pictures. Also, my Pinterest is currently being filled with beautiful Wintery and Christmas pictures so if you like festive inspiration be sure to follow me over there as well.

Finally (and most importantly) happy shopping!
