So day four and myself and my mother were off to the Louvre…
The Carousel de Louvre really is a beautiful place – it is filled with the most amazing natural light.
…As is the Louvre museum itself. I found that I liked the architecture better than the paintings themselves, everything is so grandeur.
Here she is…

It was unbelievably cold this day and I just wanted to be warm, thus my slightly un-glamorous outfit. I think I’m definitely channeling a bit of Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady here.. Before she became well-dressed haha!
Next we went along to Angelina on the Rue de Rivoli, which I had heard about through countless blogs.
The interior is very pretty: old fashioned and very posh..
Myself and my mother both got the ‘house specialty’ patisseries.. Chocolate Mont Blanc.
While my mum went for a simple cappuccino, I gunned for the famous hot chocolate.
It was the most decadent and sinfully delicious thing I’d ever tried. I certainly couldn’t drink this everyday but it tasted amazing!
We then went along the Rue Saint Honoré and went into Colette which is just the coolest place ever.
And a cheeky purchase might have been made…
Finally, we went for a wander around the Madeline area. It is really nice up there, and the famous Chanel store on Rue Cambon is close by. Unfortunately, I couldn’t buy anything in there but it was interesting to have a look around!
